ASSISTANT QUANTITY SURVEYOR - INTERIORS - UP TO £35K + BENEFITS |
A leading main contractor's fit out and refurbishment arm which turns over £250 million is looking for a dynamic assistant quantity surveyor to join their team. Since merging with a leading contractor the brand has grown rapidly and continues to grow which leads them to seek a number two for one of their current projects.
My client focuses on transforming spaces across commercial, retail & leisure, industrial and residential sectors. Typical projects may be valued anywhere up to £40 million and involve both Cat A and Cat B fit-out.
You will be based on project site as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor and be part of a modern, forward thinking, innovative team, working closely with those on the design, planning & construction teams. You will be given a varied range of responsibilities such as preparing cost forecasts and procurement documents and ensuring site supervisory staff understand the scope of works. You will also help us meet and if possible, exceed our forecasted project margin.
The selected candidate will be site based in central London working with a team of surveyors reporting into a Senior Quantity Surveyor.
The ideal candidate should have:
* A degree in Quantity Surveying or working towards one
* Ideally working towards RICS or CIOB qualification
* Demonstrable experience in construction (ideally 2 Years + experience)
* Experience in Cat A Fit-out
* Cat B Fit-out desirable
* Should have knowledge/experience of considering construction costs, tendering & legal issues
* Strong interpersonal skills
