They are currently seeking an IT Helpdesk Assistant to assist in the delivery of an effective helpdesk service to end-users. This role will suit someone who has limited work experience and is looking to take their first steps into a career within IT.
Within this role, you will be the primary support contact for all IT support calls, dealing with the set-up, administration and support of PCs, laptops, printers and mobile devices. You will also be expected to provide IT induction and training, produce and maintain IT user guides and assist with the maintenance of hardware asset and software registers.
The successful candidate will be confident in providing IT support, although previous IT helpdesk experience is not essential. That said, you should have some knowledge of installing and configuring Microsoft Windows operating systems along with an understanding of TCP / IP / LAN / WAN / wireless configuration and mobile device set-up and management. You should also have experience of installing and supporting network and local printers and MFDs.
They are seeking a strong communicator who is confident when liaising with people at all levels. With a passion for IT, you will constantly look for innovative ways of using technology to improve business efficiency or customer service and you will stay abreast of new technologies.
