Technical environment: Payments, SEPA, File and message transmission protocols, SQL and/or Oracle databases, WebSphere, IIS, Apache Tomcat, operating systems (Windows, Linux), application monitoring.
Our client is an extremely well run international bank with EMEA HQ in London. We receive extremely favourable feedback from individuals that have joined via ourselves over the past c. 2 years. We are a trusted recruitment PSL partner to them. We have been asked to identify a Contract Application Support Analyst within the Infrastructure Services department.
Working in the Application Support Team within Infrastructure Services department, you will be responsible for providing support for the transactional banking applications across EMEA.
Support Incident Management, providing trouble shooting and restoring services swiftly. Ensure incidents are recorded and updated precisely and in a timely manner, recording all investigation and recovery actions. Assist in the production of documentation to assist in troubleshooting incidents. Escalate as and when necessary, communicating the business impact.
Support some of the stages of the application life cycle for including investigation, analysis, specification, design, construction, testing, maintenance, upgrade and migration, working closely with other systems teams.
Provide advice on technical aspects of system development and integration, including the operational and maintenance aspects of systems under development, and proposed system recovery procedures. Ensure that relevant technical strategies, policies, standards and practices are applied correctly.
Key Skills (Essential)
* Transaction Banking Application Support
* SEPA and UK payment specifications
* Clear2Pay Open Payment Framework (OPF) or similar payment systems.
* File and message transmission protocols
* SQL and/or Oracle databases
* Apache Tomcat
* operating systems (Windows, Linux)
* application monitoring.
* Knowledge of other applications and technologies commonly used in Banking / Finance an advantage.
* ITIL Foundation (or above) preferred.
