*Job Responsibilities:*

GOLDER ASSOCIATES is seeking an experienced lawyer to provide proactive legal support in a fast-paced, international environment, on a wide variety of domestic and international projects and initiatives. As Senior Legal Counsel, your assignments shall involve: enterprise and project risk management, global anti-bribery and corruption compliance (including third party due diligence), the development and harmonization of standard form agreements (including joint venture and teaming agreements), litigation planning and budgeting, legal matter management, data security and privacy, international contracting procedures, and authority matrix management.

The successful candidate will report to the Chief Legal Officer and work closely with Corporate and Region General Counsel, the Global Legal Team, operations leadership and technical professionals, and be responsible for fostering strong internal business relationships, developing a strong understanding of Golder’s business and strategic plan, and coordinating with outside counsel, as needed.

This role requires a seasoned attorney who is self-directed, results-oriented, and comfortable with taking initiative and working independently as well as within the Global Legal Team. You must have a strong sense of urgency, be detail oriented, flexible and well organized. Additional responsibilities may include:

* Reviewing and negotiating professional services agreements and construction contracts

* Reviewing, evaluating and negotiating the resolution of commercial disputes

* Managing outside counsel in connection with the resolution commercial disputes

* Conducting legal research and preparing legal memoranda and decision briefs

* Project management of projects from inception through completion

* Providing support to the Global Legal Team

*Job Requirements:*

* Law Degree from an ABA accredited law school

* Admitted to practice in good standing with at least one state bar

* A minimum of 10 years of experience with a reputable law firm and/or as an in-house counsel

* Commercial law experience in the field of consulting engineering

* Ability to work independently and cooperatively with senior business and technical professionals

* Ability to translate complex legal principles into practical legal advice/solutions

* Ability to pragmatically evaluate and provide creative solutions to a variety of risk issues

* Strong written and verbal communication skills

* Strong project management skills

* Strong drafting and negotiation skills

* Ability to provide sound business and legal advice to all levels of the organization

* Proven ability to work well with others under pressure in a demanding environment

* Experience developing and deploying training programs
