About the Business Line
Our team of environment specialists offers clients expertise in air quality, impact analysis and permitting, environmental health and safety management consulting/due diligence, remediation consulting/engineering and construction/site restoration, specialty and emerging technologies, waste services and water and natural resources.

Job Summary
  • Assistant Geographic Information System (GIS) Analyst works under the general supervision of Senior Environmental Scientist
  • Generate and maintain geo databases layers associated and attribute information.
  • Implement, operate, populate, analyze and maintain GIS applications and databases.
  • Work includes the translation of various analogue datasets (vectorization / digitizing), manipulation of intricate data and execution of complex queries, as well as, maintenance and updates of GIS databases, application of spatial analysis functionalities, training and documentation activities
  • Draft various thematic maps as required by the project
  • Coordinate projects with peers, supervisors and business line leaders to ensure that projects' GIS-related objectives and needs are met
  • Support the GIS needs of both internal and external clients
  • Provide expertise on GIS development technologies.

Minimum Requirements
  • A Bachelor degree in Geography (strong advantage), Forestry, Environmental Science, or GIS/Remote Sensing
  • Understanding of environmental impact assessment methods and protocols
  • In-depth knowledge of geodesy and geographic information issues.
  • Maintain work within project budgets.
  • Maintain harmonious client relationships at the project and local market level.
  • Find opportunity and cooperate with the members of other groups.
  • Technical writing and presentation skills
  • Computer literate; ArcGIS/Arcmap, Arcview, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications
  • A Bachelor degree in Geography
