The client is a leading developer and manufacturer of complex medical devices. As the Toolroom Manager you will be responsible for ensuring the Toolroom teams deliver to internal customer's expectations for completion of mould tool servicing, repairing and trouble-shooting activities, as well as managing the Toolroom facility, ensuring it is suitably equipped and maintained to match the current and future needs of the business within Good Manufacturing Principles and Health and Safety. The Toolroom Manager will manage the on-going Toolroom operations in designated areas where required according to regulatory, statutory, quality and company processes, policies and procedures. They will be required to make decisions within the remit and to escalate issues of risk or conflicts of priorities.
The Candidate / Requirements
The successful candidate for this role will have line management experience gained in a manufacturing environment, working knowledge of GMP, quality and H&S regulations and will be an experienced practitioner in all aspects of IT including document control systems and MS Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint). Desirable skills also include:
• Excellent communication, reporting and inter-personal skills, to enable the job holder to manage the team and engage with internal and external customers.
• The ability to think quickly and solve complex operational issues.
• A management qualification.
• An understanding of moulding principles and processing fault finding.
