Maintenance Engineer - FMCG - Norfolk/Norwich|
Hours: 8-5pm day Shift
The candidate will be Responsible for maintaining a wide variety of process & production machinery within a FMCG environment running on a 24/7 operation, carrying out new installations, machinery modification and other associated project works. Assist with plant optimisation and performance within a genuine culture of continuous improvement, ensuring that production targets are achieved on time. Tasks will involve reactive support in the factory; small continuous improvement projects planned through the maintenance system and planned maintenance tasks. The role will be working with a wide range of complex automated cooking processes and packaging equipment.

- Interpretation of Engineering drawings

Our client is a very well established and respected food manufacturer based in the Norwich area. Due to continued expansion, the engineering department is looking to add an experienced, time served / apprentice trained Electrician to the team on a 6 months Interim contract. The Successful Candidate will Carry out factory planned maintenance both developing and completing planned maintenance routines and to constantly monitor the effectiveness of the system. The site operates a World Class Manufacturing continuous improvement system, engineering plays a key part in this and delivering improvements.
The ideal candidate must have proven capability in service, repairs and fault finding within an FMCG / Production environment, ideally within the food industry. Applicant must have be multi-skilled, as some fitting duties are part of the role.
•Recognised apprenticeship City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 Mechanical and Electrical Engineering
•Able to work on a multi-skilled basis
•Previous relevant experience within Food Manufacturing highly desirable.
•Working knowledge of packaging machinery is advantageous,
•PLC knowledge is advantageous,
•High-level fault diagnostic skills.
