Refrigeration/Electrical Design Detailer

Display Cabinet Refrigeration Design & Development
PURPOSE OF JOB :
To ensure the companies designs are produced in accordance with
customer and departmental requirements, to include drawings, bills of
materials and make relevant equipment selection to enable the
manufacture of products to customer and internal requirements
KEY TASKS :
Work closely with the Engineering Design Engineers to support the designs on both integral and remote systems using the latest industry techniques and refrigerants.
Develop new refrigeration designs with the aid of software and the development labs to ensure compliance with relevant standards (Operational, domestic, international etc). Supply all relevant drawings and design information to product design engineer for full production integration.
Produce detailed working drawings & Bill of Materials for engineering assemblies in accordance with Company design procedures and liase with other team members where required.
Discuss relevant design proposals with key stake holders & agree necessary action with Design Engineers/Technical Manager.
Work to agreed deadlines ensuring compliance with departmental standards and procedures.
Provide design support to all external facing departments, suppliers and customers where necessary
Continually appraise components for cost reduction and standardisation without compromising product integrity
Carry out all activities in accordance with company procedures i.e. QA , H&S, Environmental and internal company policies
Any other roles within the department as deemed fit by the Technical Manager
3D Cad Experience is essential; Solidworks & Enterprise PDM knowledge would be beneficial.
Experience with refrigeration design is important. Design experience of electrical systems and circuits would be also considered
