Manpower is seeking a suitably experienced and qualified Gas Heating Engineer to carry out high quality, timely and efficient repair and maintenance for our client based in Shrewsbury. |
You will be completing all gas and plumbing related works for our kitchen/bathroom refurbishment programme and must have experience of installing full central heating systems (including all domestic - gas combination and gas system boilers) to a high standard of workmanship, working on your own initiative or as part of a highly skilled team.
You will also commission central heating appliances following installation where necessary, completing all associated commissioning paperwork as appropriate including user demonstrations to our customers. You must also be able to fault diagnose/problem solve heating systems and boilers as and when required on new installation works.
You will ensure that work is carried out in accordance will all Health & Safety at Work regulations and codes of practice,
You must possess City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2 in plumbing and be GAS SAFE registered. Current ACS or ACOP (CCN1, CEN1, CPA1) is essential. There is also a requirement for you to hold an Unvented hot water cylinder certificate (ACS/ACOP CKR1 - MET1) and OFTEC registration. You must possess a valid UK driving license.
With a proven track record of competency you should be able to work to a schedule of work, plan you own workload and be willing to work in a team or under your own initiative. As a multi-skilled tradesperson you will be able to undertake work of trades other than your own. Duties will include basic carpentry, plumbing, and plastering. Basic IT awareness / skills
A Basic level DBS check is required for this role.
The hours of work will be 8.30-16.30 Monday to Thursday and 08.30-16.00 Friday with a salary of £27,000
