Job Title: Developer - Application Migration

Company: IT Consultancy

Location: Corsham, Wiltshire (Near to Bath and Chippenham)

Rate: £(Apply online only) a day

Duration: 1 Year

Clearance: SC Cleared, SC Clearance

Developer - Application Migration: Working for a global IT consultancy, you will help the Lead Architect to define the characterisation of existing MoD applications and the migration options available to re-host them within the new platform (DaaP) environment.

The successful developer will have a good understanding of software development and will have an understanding of some or all of .Net, JAVA, SQL Server, Oracle, Python, C++, Javascript

The Company:

A leading business and technology services company, and one of the largest suppliers of defence equipment to the UK MoD. The company has a global workforce and makes long-term investment in emerging technologies and subsequent development of intellectual property.

The Role

You need to be able to understand the various product stacks available and capture details about applications that use them, but not necessary to be able to code in all of them.

You will:

* Request access to application documentation.

* Where documentation not present or not available, gain knowledge of application from application owners.

* Gather characteristics of applications using the DaaP questionnaire.

* Update the Defence Application Register where necessary
