About the Business Line
Our team of environment specialists offers clients expertise in air quality, impact analysis and permitting, environmental health and safety management consulting/due diligence, remediation consulting/engineering and construction/site restoration, specialty and emerging technologies, waste services and water and natural resources.
AECOM are looking to recruit an Environmental Consultant to join our established Transactions and Compliance team based in the Dublin and Cork offices.
The T&C team is part of a larger environmental team comprising 28 environmental specialists which includes EIA, noise, contaminated land, waste and hydrogeological consultants.
Our core business is compliance related work related to Integrated Pollution Control (IPC) and Industrial Emissions (IE) License, enforcement support work for the Environmental Protection Agency, environmental compliance auditing and environmental due diligence assessments. While primarily working within the T&C team, the successful candidate will also be involved within specific projects across the wider environmental team.
Within the role you will see yourself being responsible for carrying out specific tasks under Project Manager direction in a wide range of projects within the areas described as above. Tasks will be both desktop and field based. You will contribute towards the Transactions and Compliance team overall targets and objectives and will ensure that health and safety is paramount to all activities.
The preferred candidate will be based in the Cork Office and should be amenable to undertaking work involving secondments to client's offices. In this instance this would only apply to clients based in County Cork.
To be successful in this role we're looking for candidates with the following;
Previous postgraduate experience relevant to the field of qualification
Strong communication skills (both external and internal)
Attention to detail and a thorough approach to work
Self starting and highly motivated approach to work
Very good written and computing skills important
Full clean driver's licence
Minimum: Degree in Engineering or Science, preferably (but not essentially) Environmental Science or Environmental Engineering.
Education to masters degree level (environmental science or engineering) preferred.
