About the Business Line
AECOM's Global Support Services (GSS) organization resides within AECOM's Government business line and is comprised of three divisions - International Development, Operations and Mission Support, and Global Programs. GSS has the international presence, personnel networks and procurement infrastructure to deliver support for any mission, anywhere. We optimize the reliability, availability and sustainability of equipment, logistics systems and facilities for clients around the world. GSS supports the U.S. Government, non-U.S. Governments and industry clients with worldwide program management, planning, design, operations and maintenance, logistics, aviation services, security, international development, environmental and civil engineering and mission and intelligence support.
Independently perform construction and maintenance of plumbing systems. Determine the location for and type, size and amount of material required, considering such factors as volume, pressure, temperature and type of substance being piped. Lay-out, construct, install, rebuild, maintain, repair, adjust, modify and test plumbing systems such as water, drain lines, lawn and fire sprinkler systems, etc. Assist in maintenance and repair of underground sewer and water systems. Perform work in other classifications when incidental but necessary to accomplish work assignment. Perform duties in compliance with Federal, State, local, NASA and Air Force laws and regulations and requirements and KSC/CCAFS energy management conservation regulations, collective bargaining agreements, security safety, hurricane and other specialized programs or contractual requirements relating to the business of the section, working within the limits of established policy.
-Work in conformance with proper codes, ordinances, sketches, specifications, blueprints, written and verbal instructions.
-Performs minor insulation with pre-fabricated mineral insulating material, binding, plastic, cement, etc. as required.
-Diagnose and repair major plumbing breakdowns which do not respond to routine maintenance.
-May operate gas welding equipment to perform cutting, burning, and soldering as necessary to accomplish work assignment.
-Maintains logs, records, charts, etc, as required.
-Must maintain area permit(s), state or local certification(s) and/or licenses, etc. as required for performance of assigned tasks.
-Performs all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

High School diploma or equivalent, specialized training from a vocational or community college or other accredited institution. Qualified Journeyman. Minimum of five years directly related experience. Valid Florida Driver's License.
