Do you want to be the go to person for a main contractors public sector/local authority works? Are you from a design or project management background? Are you looking for a package between £60-80,000 If so please read on. |
My client are a main contractor based in Surrey, their office is currently the most successful office in the entire business that turns over £1.5 billion. Specialising in healthcare, education, local authority, residential projects from £5 - £25 million all based in the South East.
They are looking for a Lead Design Manager to head up their local authority and public sector works. Heading up means taking projects from very early stages, being the clients main of contact, through to the project being based on site and then to handover. There will be multiple projects all at different stages, so somebody who is used to working on more than one project at once with a strong background in public sector/local authority work would be a huge benefit.
It's a new role for the division so it will involve using their own initiative but being part of the bid, design and delivery of all projects in this sector.
Other duties will include:
* Managing and developing all aspects of feasibilities within the public sector across the southern region
* Managing consultant relationships including obtaining fees and agreeing deeds of appointment
* Leading the client to develop a project brief
* Managing the client's expectations regarding scope, timescales and budget
* Managing SCAPE requirements including project requests, orders and KPI offerings
* Manage the timely production of the feasibility report
The ideal candidate will have a good knowledge of NEC 3, programming skills, a strong design background, commercial awareness and also be very client facing.
This role is the first of it's kind and I think it's suitable for a Senior Design Manager who is looking for a slightly different opportunity or a Project Manager who is strong with clients and design.
If you would like to know who the client is or more information please call Ricky in the London office or send your CV and I will get in touch.
