Electrical Project Engineer (Building Services)|
£35k-£44k plus Excellent Benefits (depending on skills and experience)
The company are one of the UK's leading mechanical and electrical contractors, with an annual turnover of approximately £0.5 Billion and employing over of 4,000 staff.
They are looking for an experienced Contracts Engineer, with an electrical bias, to be part of a developing Electrical division based in Bristol. You will be responsible for providing a specialist service throughout Bristol and the surrounding area; identifying and developing profitable business opportunities with new and existing clients, cost monitoring and resource forecasting to ensure that the site teams perform their duties safely and efficiently at all times.
This is a key role within the region and will involve the responsibility of managing a team of directly employed staff on a variety of different types of sites as well as the design, estimation and management of the delivery of contracts.
The Successful Candidate
The successful candidate will be technically competent in Electrical Building Services Engineering, having either an apprenticeship or a BTEC/HNC level or equivalent technical training and experience.
You will have a thorough understanding of technical drawings and be an experienced user of MS Project and all other general office applications.
You will be results driven and committed to continuous improvement with awareness of the Company's activities and objectives, key contracts and customer/client base. The ability to manage costs, budget and risks is vital as is a proven ability to identify, develop, design, quote and deliver contracts offering a high profit contribution to the business.
You will have excellent management and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and coach/mentor; this will involve a flexible approach and outstanding self-reliance, resourcefulness and initiative. You will also be confident in monitoring quality and safety in the workplace.
