My client, a leading commercial Chartered surveying company are on the market for a Senior Building Surveyor to join their vibrant and fun team. Regular social events take place here and the team genuinely get on with each other, making this an extremely enjoyable working environment. This is an organisation that puts great emphasis on developing their staff. They are looking for someone who is able to take the step up to Associate and Director Level. They offer a highly competitive salary upon this with an excellent bonus structure in place.

Job role/criteria:

* Working closely with the Managing Director and will have the autonomy to lead the Building Surveying division who will cover the full project and professional services including but not limited to;
* Project Management / Contracts Administration, Dilapidations, Party Wall matters, DDA reports,Schedule of Condition, Pre-acquisition Surveys. Due to the key role this position will hold, the service offering of the division will be moulded to the successful surveyors strengths and aspirations

Education, experience and essential:

* MRICS qualified building surveyor with at least 4-10 years' experience in the commercial surveying industry
* Consultancy background with good client facing project and professional experience
* Commercially astute with the ability to work independently and within a team with an understanding of P&L and fee generation
* Proven track record in relationship management and new business development
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a proactive can do attitude to fit in well with the team and help develop the building surveying side of the business
* Experience in staff management and mentoring surveyors through their APC would be preferable
* The ability to work within a multidisciplinary team in order to deliver service level agreements and meet targets
* Ability to break down barriers and speak to decision makers in an unknown territory
* Self-driven, results orientated with a positive and a "can do" attitude and a clear focus on high quality work
* An ability to generate leads, close opportunities and build and retain relationships with clients in order to achieve targets
* A strong understanding of IT applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook.
* Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines and juggle work to ensure deadlines are achieved
