A Great opportunity has become available to help one of the fastest growing companies in the country that offer tailor-made cloud hosted solutions and managed IT services for 6 months.

Purpose of Job:
To review the combined group procurement needs. To design, establish and set in motion a procurement policy with attendant specifications, systems, processes, practices and procedures, with recording and audit capacity, such that the company engages with suppliers in the most effective manner to ensure purchasing that is fit for purpose both quantitatively and qualitatively in the most cost effective way and efficient manner.


The scope of the role set out in the section above entitled "job purpose" will cover and include:
Defining and establishing a Group Procurement Policy.
Understanding the business requirements, identifying frequently purchased items or categories, including services, materials and equipment across the Group.
Agree standard technical specifications for frequently purchased items where appropriate.
Identify suitable suppliers for these and periodically negotiate deals, whereby the Group can benefit financially and/or from improved quality / service / delivery / cost.
Act as primary contact with suppliers.
Solicit the participation of appropriate technical and other professional staff in identifying procurement needs.
Obtain the best value for money spent across the group.
Ensure that the procurement transactions are conducted in a consistent manner using the best deals available.
Enhance accountability of the Group's procurement decisions and actions, adhering to Group Procurement Policy.
Ensure fixed asset procurement is closely tracked against Group Budget.
Work with Sales Dept to establish recharges service catalogue.
Review the accounts and purchasing staff / structure and roles leaving in place a set up fit for the future purpose of maintaining and developing the new group procurement methodology you have set up and initiated.

Recruitment Agencies for the Group
Vendor Partnerships (reviewing and negotiating re seller deals)
Travel, Entertainment, Overnight Stays and Expenses - Policy and Process
Communication Skills:
Effective verbal communication skills to liaise and steer other technical and managerial staff.
Concise written communication skills for clear policy definition and writing.
Management Skills:
Good oral and written communication skills.
Analytical skills and good standard of numeracy.
Commercial awareness and business acumen.
Ability to adapt to different business / dept needs and to develop and maintain successful working relationships.
Strong negotiation and networking skills to ensure best value and good supplier relationships.
Ability to make important decisions and cope with the pressure of demanding targets and tight deadlines.
Observer of the highest levels of probity and ethical behavior.
Qualifications and Experience:
Educated to Degree Level
3 - 5 years experience of procurement and purchasing.
Exposure to procurement in an IT / Technical Environment.
Chartered Institute of Purchase and Supply Certification (CIPS Level 4) preferred.
