A major automobile retailer group has a requirement for a Master Technician to be based at their Southampton site, specialising in Land Rover vehicles.
As a Master Technician, you will systematically complete complex fault diagnosis, monitor the repair process and carry out final checks. A large part of your role as a Master Technician will be to support your colleagues in the workshop, document the results of the diagnoses and inform colleagues new of technical innovations.
It is essential applicants are qualified to Master Technician level, time-served or hold NVQ qualifications Level 3. Applicants not possessing all of the above cannot be considered.
The Master Technician will be constantly thinking of how to achieve highest standards in customer service whilst ensuring safety and quality are paramount to all operations. Applicants will also:
Possess an excellent eye for detail;
Be a team player;
Possess a full EU driving license.
The Master Technician will:
Be qualified to Master Technician level;
Be skilled at using modern diagnostic equipment;
Be capable of working to the highest quality standards;
Be experienced and efficient at setting, reviewing and achieving targets;
Have demonstrable prior experience of working to efficiency targets;
Possess excellent coaching skills;
Possess exemplary communication skills, both verbal and written;
Be time-served or hold NVQ qualifications Level 3.
Salary comprises a £30,000 basic with £31,500 realistic annual on-target earnings, boosted by a monthly efficiency bonus. Further details on the bonus structure will be provided at interview stage.
Master Technicians work 40-hour weeks with a 0800 start between Monday and Friday with Saturday mornings worked on a rota basis.
