Responsibilities for this Position:

General Dynamics Mission Systems has an exciting position in our sunny Orlando, Florida location. We are seeking an individual cloud based software architect who will technically contribute to the Consolidated Product line Management (CPM) contract. You will be a part of the development of next generation military C2 training environments using Modeling and Simulation. In this role as the cloud base system architect, you will:
  • Lead Architect for The Consolidated Product Line Management (CPM and CPM-Next) contract. Conduct domain analysis of the Live Training Transformation (LT2) Technical Architectures, as related to the Cloud base Training as Service (TaaS) architecture
  • Define Live/Virtual/Constructive (LVC) Interoperability requirements, designs and implementations, as required to support the LT2 Product Line operating in the cloud
  • Plan, design, develop and test software systems or applications for software enhancements and new products in cloud based environment
  • Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analysis for total systems
  • Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into system & software specifications running in the cloud
  • Lead large technical proposals for CPM delivery orders, as required
  • Publish white papers; prepare presentations and briefings to customer and industry partners, as required
  • Apply the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the system development life cycle to support the generation of technical engineering products
  • Participate in working groups and LT2 control boards (such as the Architecture Control Board)
  • Attend technical interchange meetings, as required, to interface to other architecture working groups and customer representatives

Basic Qualifications:

Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in systems engineering, a related field, or the equivalent experience is required. Advanced degree preferred. In addition, a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience is required, 20 years of relevant experience preferred.

Must be able to travel 20% of the time.
Applicant must be a US Citizen.
This position requires individual to obtain a US Government Secret Clearance within a prescribed time.
