Job Summary
AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Senior Project Manager for immediate employment in the Sacramento office.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
  • Leads AECOM's design-build projects
  • Trains supporting staff and provides internal quality control and assurance
  • Manages the day to day tasks on various design-build projects with a supporting staff
  • Works closely with the Client's Project Manager or representative and builds a trusting relationship
  • Works with staff and produces deliverables on time and within budget
  • Manages the design phase through the 100% construction documents and works collaboratively with all stakeholders
  • Attends design review meetings
  • Processes Request for Clarification (RFCs) during the design and construction phases
  • Maintains a record of design review comments and assures comments are addressed and incorporated into the design documents
  • Works with the Criteria Architect to clarify design intent
  • Oversees document control and works closely with the Administrative Assistants
  • Assists in the review and resolution of issues
  • Attends weekly Progress Meetings
  • Reports to the client and assures meeting minutes are distributed
  • Oversees all construction administration functions: Submittals, RFCs, Payment, PCOs, COs, etc. and assures accurate control logs are maintained
  • Oversees the Change Order process: evaluates, estimates, and analyzes Design-Builder's change requests, prepares Potential Change Order files and Change Orders and control logs. Manages the process to resolution
  • Oversees the development of the Master Schedule for the projects
  • Oversees the reviews of the Design-Builder's baseline schedule and provides comments
  • Oversees the review of monthly schedule updates and develops independent schedule analyses as needed
  • Oversees the development of the furniture and equipment schedules
  • Coordinates all incoming and outgoing documents as assures documents are received and retained in Document Control
  • Visits the sites monthly or as required
  • Provides closeout support including receiving as-built documentation, warranties, training, attic stock and other required documentation
  • Manages the turn-over of all archived documents
  • Develops future work for AECOM based on performance and business relationships
  • Reports to the Vice President in the Sacramento Office

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering or related field
  • 10 years of experience, including 8 years of Design-Build experience
  • Proactive problem solver
  • Ability to adjust to changing job environments
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, MS Office, P6, SharePoint
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to lead and resolve issues
  • Confident and well-spoken

Preferred Qualifications
  • State of California Public Works experience
  • General understanding of building codes
