Job Summary
AECOM is currently seeking a Toll System Project Specialist for AECOM National Tolls and Managed Lanes Practice. We offer a dynamic work environment and a culture that is direct, supportive, and flexible. We are seeking a motivated self-starter with experience in the delivery of Toll and ITS systems. We are looking for experienced staff with strong, operations and financial experience in the planning and delivery of back office system and operational support systems. We are seeking someone who has demonstrated experience in tolling, payment solutions including mobile payments, and connected vehicle concepts. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
  • Responsible for supporting the delivery of existing projects and pursuits of new tolling and technology projects
  • Work with the other business lines and market sector leaders in the region to ensure strategic business growth and project delivery
  • Participate in the review and development of design, training, and maintenance and operations, and testing project plans
  • Support other AECOM project managers and technical teams in the development of winning proposals, as well as execution of project deliverables to address client needs

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Technical, Business, Economics or related areas
  • 10 years of public and/or private sector transportation industry experience
  • Demonstrated strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Exceptional client relationship skills and works well in multi-discipline teams
  • Solid technical skills in transportation projects developed within a professional services environment, with consulting engineering experience
  • Ability to travel as required
  • Due to the nature of this work, U.S. citizenship is required
  • Due to the nature of this work, qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test

Preferred Qualifications
  • Outstanding communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills with a dedication to developing lasting client partnerships (internally and externally)
  • A trusted advisor and highly regarded leader who can garner client confidence
  • Experience in Transportation Technology including Tolling, ITS and Managed Lanes
  • Strong knowledge of current and emerging IT technologies and architecture
  • Knowledge of SQL and can write queries
