PMO and Work Stream Lead - WAN / MDM

Day Rate: c£450 per day
Location: Berkshire
Duration: 4 months+

Our client is a leading global FMCG business who produce a number of well-known brands. Due to their continued growth and transformation they are now looking for a Work Stream and PMO Lead to join their IT organisation.

With a complex IS landscape that reflects the rapid growth and the global nature of the business, this role will need to quickly establish an in depth understanding of the current landscape and the road map to achieve the desired future state for the Wide Area Network (WAN) and Mobile Device Management (MDM) work streams of the programme.

Role Purpose:
* The role will lead the successful contracting of the Wide Area Network (WAN) and Mobile Device Management (MDM) work streams
* The role will also manage the Programme PMO with prime responsibility for tracking progress against plan, overall management of the initial Due Diligence phase as well as extracting relevant central information (Planning, GL or AP records) to build an analysis of the as is and potential savings expected
* Ultimate role purpose is to define, manage and govern the successful scoping and agreement of the WAN and MDM work stream of the project that will in turn deliver a seamless IS user experience, committed reduction of technology costs and risks, continuously improved service levels.

PMO Lead
* Set up and report on the progress and risks of the Due Diligence phase
* Lead the Due Diligence for services, driving engagement and escalating when required
* Establish a single Programme plan and track and manage progress of both supplier and internal the plan
* Analyse the "as is" spend data from Due Diligence, run comparisons with centrally available data from General Ledger, Accounts Payable and Planning cycles and model the potential programme savings

Work stream lead
* The role will be responsible for all aspects of the contracting process for the WAN and MDM schedules
* This will require working across all business functions of Enterprise Architecture, Service Management Vendor and Commercial Management, Security, Procurement, Legal and delivery as well as facing into the supplier peers
* Ensure that the baseline data has been gathered in Due Diligence to ensure that both internal and external suppliers have a common foundation to measure change
* Build and coordinate all relevant Project Delivery Methodology artefacts to take through the Governance and process
* Ensure that the technical architecture and service design are documented with suitable outcome based SLAs and ensuring that these are incorporated into the overall contract for service in a manageable and actionable way
* Ensure close liaison with business process groups to ensure that new initiatives within the programme are developed with full understanding of business need
* Effectively manage any overlap with other projects that could impact the scope of the WAN and MDM work stream of the programme to ensure strategic aims are met
* Define template deployment plans for every blueprint site category for WAN work stream
* Review and approve the standards, policies, procedures and operational guidelines including incident management, problem management, change control, risk management and configuration management for the WAN and MDM work streams
* Management of suppliers to ensure contract structure will ensure that the service meets obligations

Skills & Experience required
* EXPERIENCE - 5 years' experience of delivery or complex project mobilisation within a large scale multi country environments
* Proven success in scoping and delivery of technical projects in global, blue-chip, enterprise grade environments
* Prefer - Telecoms specific experience
* Strong track record of leading successful Global / Area projects
* Experience of setting up and drafting 3rd party outsourcing contracts
* Vendor relationship management and negotiation skills.
* Business awareness and customer oriented
* Flexibility in thinking and pragmatic problem solving skills
* Strong team player
* High personal drive; results oriented; makes things happen
* Experience of working with an outsourced network and outsourced providers
