Manufacturing Engineer required for a renowned Engineering client for a contract. The right candidate will be a problem solver to guide and participate in the root cause analysis of technical defects in the Production area. You will be responsible for guiding the Manufacturing Engineering, Quality and Production teams in identifying the cause of defects in the assembly and test areas and ensuring that effective containment and prevention methods are implemented. |
You will also be required to support manufacturing engineering duties on the shop floor, helping to identify and remove waste, as well as support day to day production.
Lead and participate in root cause analysis projects on product issues and defects in the factory
Guide wider manufacturing team on problem solving
Identify and implement corrective and preventative countermeasures in Production processes
Identify and eliminate waste in Production processes
Provide support and training for manufacturing personnel concerning process procedures and equipment
Support EHS continuous improvement in manufacturing area
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
Experience of Manufacturing Engineering in an industrial environment
Strong problem solving skills
Demonstrable expertise in root cause analysis
Effective oral and written communication and organizational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and with PCs in general
Ability to work within a team and individually with little direction
Ability to work with diverse personalities and agendas
Lean Manufacturing experience focusing on creating value and eliminating waste.
High level of Manufacturing Engineering experience
Strong mechanical and electronics aptitudes
Understanding of process and test data-capture systems, and data analysis.
Experience of 6-Sigma, Variability Reduction and Process / Yield Improvement
Any experience in Dissolved Gas Analysis techniques
