Salary: £48 - 60,000/per annum - Negotiable + excellent benefits package

Start Date: Subject to the candidate's availability, or ideally immediate

The Opportunity

Recruiting on behalf of my client for an Associate/Principal Structural Engineer to manage projects they are currently working on.

You will be:
*Preparing fee proposals for senior management approval, including resources and programme.
*Managing projects from inception through to completion.
*Responsible in leading the quality and the timely delivery of multiple projects running concurrently, including the preparation of the Design Scope of work as well as the technical designs of projects.
*Managing the workload and overseeing technical and commercial management of a small team.
*Assessing resource requirements at each stage of the project.
*Delivering projects within timescale, budget constraints and quality expectations.
*Determining the need for and attend project progress meetings.
*Overseeing the response to design queries during construction phase and attending site meetings.
*Setting up projects and allocating budgets to work stages.
*Ensuring financial data is up to date and co-ordinating the timely and correct issuing of invoices.
*Assisting in the preparation of monthly project workload and fee forecasts.
*Actively managing projects to minimise WIP.
*Anticipating challenges and project risks and recommending necessary mitigating measures, and where necessary relaying this information to clients.

Candidate Requirements
*Degree qualified, in a relevant engineering discipline
*Minimum of 10 years' experience in a relevant engineering background
*Preferably Chartered status
*Experience of all materials is preferable
