Working Continental Shifts 4 on 4 off rotating days and nights
Scope and General Purpose:
To provide an effective engineering maintenance service by means of the application of electrical/mechanical skills in fault-finding/diagnostics, planned preventative maintenance practices and electrical/mechanical installation.
Key Task & Accountability's
To follow/apply effective safe working in accordance with Approved Codes of Practice governing working with electrical/mechanical plant and equipment.
Carry out planned preventative electrical/mechanical maintenance as directed by the Company's computerised maintenance management systems.
To apply systematic diagnostics in electrical/mechanical engineering in order to minimise the impact of plant failures/breakdowns.
To undertake electrical/mechanical repairs, refurbishment and installation tasks within Butcher's Pet Care Ltd.
To actively participate /facilitate continuous improvements, initiatives, identifying and implementing manufacturing improvement opportunities.
To provide technical advice/support for electrical maintenance aspects on equipment procurement, installation and plant refurbishment projects.
To carry out electrical/mechanical maintenance activities to standards of hygiene/housekeeping appropriate to a food manufacturing environment.
Activities at all times to be carried out in accordance with Butcher's Pet Care's Company Policy
Completed a recognised engineering apprenticeship
Experience of repairing and maintaining manufacturing plant & equipment
Experience of working with PLC's (Siemens S7, S5 and Alan Bradley - would be advantageous but not essential)
