The client - Senior Quantity Surveyor
My client, based in Essex, is a very well established award winning Construction company with a turnover in excess of £150 million and over 500 staff. Their core areas of business are new build residential, refurbishment and planned & reactive maintenance within the Social Housing, Commercial, Education and Public sectors. They are currently recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to work for the new build residential division.
The role - Senior Quantity Surveyor
Reporting directly to the Commercial Director the role will be based at Head Office in Waltham Forest with occasional London site meetings. The purpose of the role is to successfully manage the commercial aspects of the project. Experience of both raft and piled foundations is required, as is experience of steel and concrete frame superstructures and soft and hard landscaping. It would also be advantageous if the candidate had previous experience of working with rail companies.
The candidate - Senior Quantity Surveyor
BSc in Quantity Surveying is preferred.
Experience of working for a new build housing developer.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build lasting, successful relationships with clients, suppliers, subcontractors and other personnel.
Excellent negotiation skills, with the ability to secure the best possible outcome for the business, whilst preserving future client relationships.
An analytical approach to challenges and a positive approach to problem solving.
Possesses a great attention to detail, accurate and numerate.
Able to keep cool under pressure and when working to demanding deadlines.
Full UK drivers licence
The salary up to £75k dependant on experience with a competitive package.
