Transport Planner |
Facilities by ADF is a leading provider of specialist vehicles to the Film &TV industry for location drama in the UK and Europe. A Transport planner is required to join the logistics team managing the movement of vehicles to service the company's contracts.
It is expected that all applicants will have relative experience in a transport environment where they have been involved in the scheduling of vehicles and drivers. Freight forwarding and parcel based experience does not normally provide the skill base that we seek.
As a member of the logistics team you will be scheduling vehicles and drivers to ensure the delivery of our on location facility vehicle service. This involves the analysis of the customer filming schedules to plan make a clear plan according to the company processes to ensure consistent high standards of delivery.
You will work alongside other members of the logistics team to plan the movement of vehicles and allocate drivers to these. You will be required to document the plan and disseminate this to all relevant stakeholders.
It is the transport planner's responsibility to react to changes in situation and keep drivers and customers up to date.
Planners are required to plan forthcoming driver requirements and document this, then liaise as required with driver agencies to book any supplementary drivers documenting this through the company procedure.
This role involves good and clear communication with other departments within the company that integral to its operation, accounts, maintenance, transport departments.
You will need good computer skills, polite and friendly telephone manner, attention to detail and the ability to remain positive when working under pressure.
Applicants for this position should hold good educational qualifications, with a positive attitude towards health and safety. You will have excellent organisational skills, exceptional customer service skills and a strong work ethic. You will have the ability to work on your own initiative or as part of a team.
Based - Currently located in Chertsey but soon to relocate to Bordon Hampshire.
Normal working hours 08.00 - 17.30 on 4 on 4 off shift pattern, additional days may be required to cover holiday leave.
23 days holiday per annum
