We are delighted to have the opportunity to work alongside the UK's leading manufacturer and supplier of precast concrete. With recent acquisitions and there vision to expand further , our clients are now looking to recruit a CAD technicians to work within the Reinforced Dock Department . The successful CAD Technician will have the opportunity to work with a forward thinking business that's expected to break the £200M turnover barrier in the coming months. They are constantly evolving and buying in new products , services and Software.
The position of CAD Technician will play a key role within the Design Department and will involve the design and detailing of precast concrete products.
You will join a multi-disciplinary team and be responsible for providing advice to existing and new developments.
This is a great opportunity for a Cad Technician who is looking for progression opportunities. You will be involved in the development and mentoring of junior technicians and ensure that a high standard of work in maintained within the Design Team.
*Produce drawings & detailing of precast products using Autocad
*Produce general arrangement & reinforced concrete details
*Adhere to specifications and standard requirements
*Liaise with other teams and assist with technical drawing enquiries regarding products
*Engage in knowledge sharing
*Assist in any other reasonable ad hoc tasks in order to support the team.
*Hold a ONC/HND/BTEC in civil engineering or construction
*Experienced in AutoCAD
*Reinforced Concrete (RC) experience i.e. Beam & Block (T Beam), Stairs, Dock walls, etc.
*Excellent detailing skills
*Hold valid drivers licence

*Civil engineering experience
*Pre-cast concrete knowledge/experience within a production environment
*Building Information Modelling experience
*Experience of mentoring apprentices/junior staff
