My client is a privately owned main contractor based in Romford and they undertake all projects within public sector works. This includes social housing, education, residential regeneration, parks, common public buildings and commercial government space.
My client boasts an annual turnover over of £150M and has been named as the fourth most profitable contractor in UK Construction.
My client has recently won a two year contract worth £7.5M for Enfield Borough Council which is for the complete upgrade of heating, ventilation and cooling systems for all their commercial buildings in the borough.
This project includes the complete refurbishment Ground Source and Air Source Heat as well as the installation of new underground and under-flooring pumps and piping systems. The project will also include complete strip out and re installation of all ventilation, heating systems and air conditioning in the government office buildings.
My client requires a Project Quantity Surveyor to head up this contract and manage the commercials over the next two year contract. . Project Quantity Surveyors will have responsibility for the management and motoring of three assistants on the project, with a view to take a management position on successful completion of the project.
Project Quantity Surveyors must have experience in dealing with specialist electrical and mechanical subcontractors.
Project Quantity Surveyors will have a stable employment history and a minimum of six years of post-qualification experience. You will be degree qualified in quantity surveying or construction management. You must be able to demonstrate having worked on similar projects which are mechanically and electrically biased and ideally have experience in working for local authorities.
