A long-term temporary to permanent Maintenance Electrician job in Central London paying £15-16 per hour |
Your new company
You'll be working at a vibrant, well-respected university located in Central London not far from the City itself. The dynamic nature of the university environment provides a consistently challenging and engaging place of work, encompassing commercial, residential and academic settings and catering to around 20,000 students.
Your new role
You'll work within a lively maintenance team covering mainly reactive and planned preventative maintenance, along with occasional project and call-out requirements. You'll be responsible for the provision of repairs, refurbishment and operation of the university's electrical aspects, as well as carrying out the service and maintenance of a diverse range of electrical equipment in accordance with current standards and health and safety procedures.
What you'll need to succeed
You'll be City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 qualified in a relevant electrical certificate. Your previous maintenance experience within commercial or public sector environments will be beneficial, as will familiarity with inspection, testing and fault finding. You'll have a strong work ethic and be capable of working independently as well as part of a team, and will be comfortable with and aware of the demands of working a customer-facing role.
What you'll get in return
You'll be offered a temporary to permanent role paying around £16 per hour. You'll have opportunities to work overtime or on-call and will enjoy working within a team of dedicated, lively maintenance professionals.
