Milton Keynes College Offender Learning Team are seeking a full time Senior IT Services Engineer with exceptional skills in delivering outstanding service to manage the IT networks across Milton Keynes College Offender Learning Contracts by managing our team of support engineers & providing technical advice to the Senior Leadership Team.
The IT department at Milton Keynes College is focused on delivering an excellent service, and providing innovative solutions that will enhance the experience of all users of the service.
We are looking for a technical, customer serviced orientated and proactive person to work in this department. You will be responsible for a range of tasks including the troubleshooting hardware/software problems, system imaging and application testing. You will be working as part of a team to ensure an effective, efficient, innovative, friendly and proactive service supporting both staff and students.
As the successful candidate for the position of Senior IT Services Engineer, you will possess the following essential knowledge, skills and experience:
* Have an MCP/CCNP qualification or proven demonstrable experience
* Must hold a current UK/EU passport and valid driver's licence
* Must be able to pass extensive security clearance required to work in HMP prisons
* Extensive experience troubleshooting problems in an IT environment ( Desktop and Server )
* Have thinking ability: able to plan, communicate and problem solve effectively
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
* Enthusiastic, self-motivated and self-aware
* Able to motivate self and others
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
* Reliable, adaptable and dependable
Hours: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum
Location: Milton Keynes & Multi Site
