Location - Wirral
Shift Pattern - Monday to Friday 8.00am - 4.30pm
ATA Recruitment is currently working with one of the largest providers of plastic bottles in the UK. They produce bespoke products for the drinks, cosmetics and FMCG markets across 7 manufacturing plants and 5 sites across the country.
Their site in Wirral specialises in plastic extrusion and stretch blow moulding products for the domestic industry e.g. shampoo bottles and hand soap bottles. All of their sites use completely bespoke machinery due to the complexity of the products they are manufacturing.
Due to a period of continued growth they are currently producing 500 billion units per year across the 2 factories on site and re now looking to bring in a 2nd Engineering Manager to run one of the factories.

The role of Engineering Manager will involve reporting to the UK Engineering Director and you will be responsible for
Assigning work orders to the engineering team and contractors on site. you will be responsible for 4x shift engineers and 2x PPM Engineers.
Manage a PPM schedule and make adjustments where necessary. May be asked to lead a review as they are currently very reactive in nature.
Manging the engineering budget in terms of spares, staff, machines and contractors.
Monitor line OEE and production performance. Investigating issues and putting in corrective actions in place.
Producing reports for management team on OEE, breakdowns, PPM and line availability.
Dealing with recruitment, disaplinaries, 1-2-1s and appraisals.
To be successful as an Engineering Manager you will need:
An engineering qualification. (Apprenticeship, ONC, HNC, HND, NVQ level 3 or City and Guilds)
Experience working in a fast paced automated environment. Plastics or packaging would be ideal.
A good understanding of LEAN manufacturing techniques and continuous improvement.
Able to manage PPM schedules and budgets.
Confident, outgoing individual who is happy to liaise technically with individuals at all levels.
