We are excited to be recruiting on behalf of a national building contractor and family-owned business, founded in 1995 - who aspire to be at the cutting edge of construction. The Company has grown to an annual turnover of £120 million, working on projects across the public and private sectors. Due to an internal promotion a new vacancy has arising for a Bid Writer/ Manager to join the team
Working as part of an exciting and busy marketing team, the bid writer/ manager will be responsible for the successful completion of pre-qualification's and tender submissions whilst overseeing the overall bid process for projects up to £30million. The role will encompass the following responsibilities;
• Monitor incoming tender opportunities and OJEU notices;
• Research, assess and track future potential opportunities;
• Write and complete all expressions of interests, pre-qualifications questionnaires and requests for information;
• Enter and update all opportunities identified onto our database;
• Liaise closely with other departments and manage inputs from business functions;
• Analyse tender requirements and allocate responsibilities;
• Compile and produce high quality tender submissions in line with requirements;
• Attend tender launch, review and adjudication meetings;
• Edit and proof reading tender responses and reviewing submissions;
• Assist with the development of bespoke submissions with our graphic designer;
• Produce tender and interview presentations and supporting documentation;
• Maintain and update all CV's and catalogue of evidence for future submissions;
• Complete annual accreditation renewals;
• Maintain an up-to-date register of all tendering portals;
• Attend events to understand the procurement process of upcoming contracts.
• Excellent writing and editing skills, including a creative flair in written work;
• Ability to communicate strong messages in written form;
• Experience working under pressure and to tight deadlines;
• Ability to work on multiple tasks at any one time and prioritise workload;
• Attention to detail and accuracy;
• Excellent organisations skills;
• Adaptable to deal with changing requirements;
• Team player;
• Fast learning individual.
• Previous experience in a similar bid writing or coordination role;
• Competent using MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience working in the construction industry;
• Experience coordinating teams and managing large volumes of documentation;
• Ideally competent with Adobe Suite, specifically InDesign;
• Degree qualified
