I have an excellent opportunity to join a busy, multi-disciplinary, professional practice, which provides a full Property Management service.

As Building Surveyor you will be part of an ambitious, successful team providing an extensive range of external clients with high quality, timely Property Management Services.

You will also be accountable for:

Undertaking condition and Asset Management Plan surveys of client building stock along with preliminary appraisals and inspections (including feasibility studies) and assisting in the preparation of bids for Government funding
Acting as 'Lead Discipline' on programmed capital projects and undertaking the role of 'Project Manager' as envisaged in the CDM regulations 2015
Carrying out the design process from inception to completion in accordance with QA procedures, with minimum supervision
Producing precise building specifications for individual projects along with illustrative building construction details using AutoCAD LT packages
Producing all information for planning application purposes and submission of building regulations applications
Collating information in respect of CDM requirements, site waste management plan requirements and pre and post contract control of building contracts under the JCT/NEC forms of contract
Checking and certifying accounts for works carried out including interim and final valuations
Preparing and submitting information and drawings for Building Regulations and Planning approval

To apply for this role you must have the following:

A member of the RICS or be working towards the APC with a BSc in Building Surveying or a related Construction Profession
A minimum of 5 years relevant experience
Knowledge of current legislation relating to Health & Safety, CDM, Building Regulations, SWMP and Planning
The ability to survey a building, identify defects, produce reports and asset management plans and provide recommendations with costings
The ability to produce scale drawings using AutoCAD LT
IT literate with excellent IT skills using MS Office packages
Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written
