We have an exciting opportunity for a Learning and Development Business Partner to join our Learning and Development (L&D) team based at our head office in Forest Row. Rydon is a successful construction, development, maintenance, investment and management group operating throughout England, predominantly in London and the southern counties. We are a dynamic, multi talented organisation, working across a wide range of sectors within the built environment. Rydon Group has four operating companies across Construction, Maintenance, Homes/Land Development and whole Estates Partnering with this NHS. The learning needs for each of these businesses is distinctly different and as such, the L&D Business Partner opportunity allows the successful candidate to draw upon a range of experience and implement unique learning interventions suited to each of these business areas.|
The successful candidate will engage with the business on an operational basis to ensure the key learning priorities of the business, departments, teams and individuals are met. You will achieve this by working alongside our HR and recruitment teams, regularly analysing training needs, interacting with key stakeholders and have a firm understanding of the business objectives.
You will be a key individual, responsible for the full training cycle, to help deliver the operational L&D strategy. You will provide advice and guidance to the business relating to all aspects of people development and keep up to date with changes within the organisation, making appropriate recommendations to support these changes. You will design and deliver learning and coaching interventions aligned to employee and business needs, and where required run regional workshops to deliver a blended approach to learning ensuring accurate training records are kept for all training delivered.
As part of this varied role, you will take responsibility for leading a Learning and Development Coordinator who will provide day to day support. In addition, you will take lead responsibility for managing our early careers and apprenticeships including managing our relationship with the CITB (Construction Industry Training Board), ensuring we deliver our data and obligations on time.
In order to further support the business, you will investigate and recommend new learning formats including distance learning, e-learning and other suitable methodologies as appropriate.
The successful candidate will ideally hold a relevant training/learning qualification and have proven Learning and Development expertise. It is desirable for this experience to have been gained within a construction/maintenance environment, though candidates with strong L&D experience gained in other industries will be considered. The preferred candidate will be able to demonstrate strong influential, networking and interpersonal skills at all levels, team management and the ability to effectively plan, organise and manage multiple tasks.
