We are seeking innovative staff to design, win and deliver our solution-oriented services to our existing and new clients.
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Catchment Environmental Scientist to join our UK team. This role can be based in either High Wycombe or Solihull.
As a Principal Consultant you are likely to have an MSc/PhD with significant catchment science experience or equivalent, with a focus on developing and implementing solutions within a catchment-based approach framework. In particular, you should be able to demonstrate significant capability in technical leadership in catchment management and environmental projects, specifically in one or more of the following areas:
• Catchment management and ecosystems services policy and implementation.
• Climate change impact assessment and adaptation planning.
• Experience of the Habitats Directive and Water Framework Directive assessments.
• Experience in delivering projects as part of the Restoring Sustainable Abstraction Programme.
• Preparation of drought management plans.
Candidates will need need to demonstrate experience of working and in leading multi-disciplinary teams and in providing technical input to environmental assessments. Experience of working in Consultancy, Environment Agency, SEPA or Water Companies would be considered an advantage. The position is primarily in support of our UK Water Company clients, to grow our service offering in this sector. We are also seeking to grow our international projects portfolio in this discipline. The role will be based in our High Wycombe or Solihull offices, as part of a team that sits across a number of offices.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate skills in factual and interpretative reporting, data management and analysis and presentation. The individual will also be expected to demonstrate an ability to produce high quality oral and written communications. Good time management and presentation skills and a flexible attitude are also essential to work within our busy and dynamic team. As a Principal Consultant you will be familiar with the regulatory, business and policy environment in which our clients operate, and have the capacity to develop and maintain long-term relationships with our clients.
