Inspect various component parts and assemblies on production lines and at final inspection according to process sheets using a variety of gages, SME or test equipment. Ensure all inspection process documentation and drawings are valid and current, including latest revisions. Perform process verifications such as first piece inspections, hardness, pressure, time, temperature, Magnetic Particle, open set-ups and use of SME. Know and perform sampling plans for continuous and/or static inspection procedures. Select inspection samples and perform inspection according to approved procedures. Identify and segregate non-conforming or questionable material and present inspected lot for customer approval. Complete Internal Material Review information for the non-conforming or questionable material in the current system implemented. Accurately record information on inspection attribute sheets and other inspections forms. Maintain inspection attribute sheet records in accordance with contract requirements. Perform special functional tests and be willing and able to learn any additional inspection test functions (i.e. Eddy Current, Nondestructive Testing...). Ensure that all gages are valid for use, including calibration. Interface with other personnel including engineering, supervision, customers to help establish priorities as well as maintain production workflow as situations warrant. Utilize statistical techniques to analyze inspection data. Utilize auditing methods for process/product as well as system audits that may be assigned for completion. |
High School Diploma, GED. Proficiency in blue print reading and computer systems.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment that interacts with all departments on a daily basis
