Position Overview
To deliver Business Change projects in the following Key areas to the Support Services Business Units:
  • Process Change
  • People Change
  • Technology Change
  • Business Transformation
Projects are to be delivered against agreed standards and methodology ensuring that all projects deliver the expected benefits to time, quality and costs.

Ensure that all project documentation, project plans, risk and issues logs and reporting requirements are completed in line with agreed Business Change PMO standards, in good time and of a high quality.
This is a West Bromwich based role with team members required to work mainly out of the West Bromwich office. There is a requirement for Junior Project Managers to work at other Interserve locations or clients sites. The Junior Project Manager role will be expected to work on small to medium sized projects based on complexity and value and prioritisation.

  • Delivery of multiple concurrent business change projects
  • Clarify assumptions from multiple sources
  • Clearly define project team roles and responsibilities
  • Create effective motivated project teams
  • Deliver projects successfully to time, quality and cost
  • Effectively manage communications with stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain own project plans ensuring that all details are accurate and up to date
  • Provide accurate, informative and timely status reports into project boards and PMO
  • Define activities, set priorities and allocate resources for the implementation of projects
  • Manage project budgets through the full project lifecycle and track costs aligned to PMO standard
  • Deliver projects to agreed methodologies and PMO standards
  • Highlight any exceptions to agreed project board tolerances and provide corrective actions
  • Build and maintain RAID logs (Risk, assumptions, Issues and Dependencies) prioritising and building mitigation plans to reduce risk and minimise impact

What we are looking for
  • Experience in delivering IT / business change projects
  • Experience of managing project budgets and tracking project cost
  • Delivery focused with the ability to prioritise effectively
  • Capable of operating to tight schedules in demanding environments
  • Ability to articulate technical information to non technical stakeholders both orally and written
  • Experienced in delivering 2 or more IT / business change projects in parallel
  • Experience of facilitating solutions with customers / suppliers
  • Experience of stakeholder management
  • Experience of managing risk, issues and dependencies
  • Team player
  • Experience of Microsoft Project
  • PRINCE2 or APM or PMP Accredited (Foundation or Practitioner)
  • Excellent analysis skills
  • Graduate or qualified by experience
  • Experience of leading teams
  • An excellent communicator
  • Good analysis skills
  • Good grasp of budgeting
  • An organised individual with a focus on planning
