My client, a housing association based in South England is looking for a Corporate Estates Surveyor to join their team.|
This is a full time permanent position based out of Milton Keynes covering the south region.
The successful candidate will hold a relevant degree level qualification with significant experience in the field and hold a full UK drivers license.
The main responsibilities of the post will be as follows;
Working as part of the Corporate Estates Management team you will assist the CE Manager in the delivery of board level strategy across a wide ranging portfolio and south region. You will be ensuring that delivery of a comprehensive management service is made to the internal Businesses in line with the code of conduct and ethics set out by RICS.
You will manage and report on the status and activity of the Freehold and Leasehold interests of our properties, ensuring rent reviews and lease renewals are managed out, lettings generated, debt and repairs managed out, surrender & lease renewals are proactively concluded and strategic property advice is provided. Your role will enable you to drive efficiency and profitability into the business whilst working to ensure compliance and management of ISO14001.
You will manage the Corporate Estates service delivery across the South Region over a diverse portfolio of property ranging through offices, retail, industrial premises lease to 3rd parties, along with operationally occupied space of gyms, development land, service centres and wider leasehold estates. You may be required to manage office fit out projects using our nominated t framework contractors.
Your role will play a key role in the delivery of work in line with set budgets, ensuring that these budgets are delivered as well as assisting in the compilation of these on an annual or adhoc basis.
You will oversee the management of Business rates liabilities for properties within your region, delivering savings for Corporate Estates or the Group by working with other Group departments and subsidiaries.
As part of this role you will oversee the management of property records within your region and ensure and databases including QUBE, Northgate, Concept and PIMS, making sure that these are utilised to aid other departments.
You will provide internal property valuations and cash flow appraisals advice for investments in consultation with to wider business. As well as proving specialist property advice when required.
