My client, a housing association based in the East Midlands is looking for a number of Maintenance Surveyors, Planned and Reactive, to join their team.|
This is a full time contract role for at least 8 months and the successful candidate will hold a relevant degree level qualification along with previous experience in a similar role. A full UK drivers license is required as their will be travel required for this position.
The main responsibilities of the role are as follows;
To contribute to the asset management service, ensuring that it is efficient and that excellent standards of customer service are delivered.
Delivering a diverse workload that may include a combination of capital repairs, capital improvements, planned maintenance, reactive repairs, adaptations, safety programmes and stock surveys.
Contributing to the Asset Management Strategy, identifying best practice.
Carrying out property inspections including quality assurance, stock condition and other surveys. Providing continual updates to the Keystone asset database with survey and contract outputs, as-built drawings, photographs and certificates.
Supporting the delivery of business plan targets and asset management objectives. Meeting relevant Key Performance Indicators for the service.
Ownership of specific project or contract budgets and ensuring tight control over those budgets. Make recommendations on how to improve efficiency and value for money. Compliance with financial regulations and standing orders. Providing accurate estimates for projects and contracts.6 Work with the building services teams. Compliance with the service level agreement.
Drawing up specifications, repairs orders and contract documents for planned and reactive works. Manage internal and external contractor performance to deliver those works on time, on budget and to the required standard. Effective contract administration to include instructions, valuations, certificates, accounts and documentation.
Chairing and attending liaison meetings with contractors, consultants and other teams. Ensuring those meetings are documented as a project or contract record.
Contributing to Health and Safety activity to ensure 100% compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. Carrying out scheme, COSE and risk assessments on schemes. Identifying operational risks and taking action to mitigate those risks.
Liaise with the Development Division on specific projects. Compliance with the service level agreement.
Liaise with the Housing Department to improve service delivery. Leading periodic estate inspections and ensuring maintenance needs are recorded and followed-up. Compliance with the service level agreement.
Getting involved with tenant and leaseholder customers to improve the service. Participation in resident forums and scrutiny activity under the co-regulation model.
Contributing to policy and procedure reviews to achieve the highest feasible level of service, meeting all statutory and regulatory requirements. Performing quality assurance and compliance processes to ensure those requirements are met.
Providing regular project reports to line manager. Occasional preparation and presentation of reports to team meetings and other internal groups.
Contributing to corporate projects to deliver better services
Occasional promotion of the client with appropriate external agencies through networking and active participation in external groups in the sector.
