We are searching for a Quantity Surveyor with civil experience which will be based in Avonmouth, Bristol. Reporting into the Commercial Manager and day-to-day to the Operations Manager, the Quantity Surveyor is to work closely alongside the Operational team, having the responsibility for the evaluation and submission of Applications for Payment in an accurate and timely manner, cost management, accurate and timely commercial reporting, contract management and mitigation of commercial and contractual risks - for a defined section of a networks term contract / projects.

Roles & Responsibilities:

To ensure that full recovery is obtained for all works carried out, while working in accordance of the terms of the Main Contract and while not compromising safety.
To understand the cost base, ensure costs are correctly allocated, capture liabilities, and strive to minimise cost.
The accurate reporting of Cost and Value on a Weekly and Monthly basis.
Collating and preparing Applications for Payment in an accurate and timely manner.
Monitoring and striving to minimise the value of work in progress (WIP).
Performing Commercial Administration in accordance with the requirements of the Main Contract.
Undertaking revenue / cost analysis and reconciliations
The Procurement, Engagement (preparation of Subcontract Orders) and management of Subcontractors in accordance with company processes, terms and conditions, incl. HGCRA / LDEDCA legislation requirements, to deliver works profitably (Enquiries/Procurement/Pre-Commencement Meetings/Valuation of Variations/Correspondence/Notices/Payments/Final Accounts).
Advising and leading on any item coverage or measurement queries encountered.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years previous experience within a similar role. Having a degree within Quantity Surveying would be desirable but not essential.
