EXPERIENCED HARD SERVICES MANAGER REQUIRED TO WORK ON LARGE AND EXCITING FACILITIES CONTRACT WITH BLUECHIP FM SERVICE PROVIDER|
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 per day

My Client is a Tier-1 Facilities Management company with a reputation for delivering flagship projects and providing a full Facilities management service to their clients for the lifecycle of the project
A fantastic opportunity has arisen within the Kent division of the FM business for a Hard Services Manager to join the team to work on an exciting contract which involves delivering a Total FM service to a portfolio of buildings across the county. This company provides a full TFM service, but this role will focus on delivering the Mechanical and Electrical engineering elements through a team on 20 engineers. You will be responsibility and authority over this team, planning their workloads and ensuring that PPM's are carried out efficiently and to a high standard. You will also need to ensure that Risk assessments, work permits and other contract compliance is being adhered to, and monitor health and safety across the sites by implementing safe working practices. You will also need to ensure that the parts store is stocked and that vans are loaded with the correct parts and tools for each engineer.

As a Hard Services Manager your responsibilities will include:
Overseeing the running of a Busy M&E Contract of Circa £15m in value
Effective man management of mechanical and electrical engineers
Ensuring contract compliance and health and safety practices are adhered to.
Managing a team of engineers in line with client requirements on a planned and reactive basis
Managing a monthly spend and reporting back to the Regional Contracts Manager
The ideal candidate will have the following:
Formal qualification in a technical discipline - Electrical or mechanical
Ideally a technical background. Mechanical and particularly combustion experience would be preferred.
Must have experience working on long-term FM contracts with a hard services provider
Understanding of statutory compliance including electrical and gas safety along with general health and safety knowledge
Experience managing a team of engineers and sub-contractors
Ability to co-ordinate different aspects of a project successfully
An IOSH or other H&S qualification would be beneficial, as would a BIFM Membership
A full, clean UK driving license
The successful candidate can expect
Salary of £50,000 - £55,000 dependent on experience plus car and attractive package
Ability to lead a busy and successful team
