Title: Lead Engineer
Location: Kempston + Field Based
Rate: £28.5K + Van (+ £10K per annum in O/T)
Duration: Perm / Temp-to-Perm
Our client has been in the repair, service and sales of pumps, motors, fan units and associated equipment since 1989. There continuing success has lead to the creation of the above role.
The position requires a time-served engineer used to working independently, managing their own workload, route planning and dealing with clients on a face to face basis. You will have a multi-skilled background inclusive of Mechanical & Electrical exposure. Previous experience within the field of motors, inverters, fans, pipes or pumps (etc) would be a huge advantage.
You will be require you to report to their office in Kempston, Beds of a morning, to meet with a support engineer and load your van / plan your route etc. You will then be on the field throughout the day, visiting client sites, assessing work to be carried out, and implementing said repairs / refurbs / replacements, all whilst assuring H&S regulations are adhered too. You will also be responsible for your assistant's workload, work quality and H&S.
Please note this is a hands-on engineering position. You will take the lead on all works to be completed at client sites, using your assistant to support your efforts. Due to the nature of the work you will occasionally find yourself on waste water sites, so only those happy to work in such environments need apply.
