Innovation Manager (Intellectual Property)
About the role
Working within the high profile Innovation Exploitation Team your focus is being the Company wide expert on Intellectual Property (IP) to secure it, negotiate deals and ensure the successful collection of income.
You will be responsible for maximising and monitoring our portfolio value, recommending new ways of leveraging value through the likes of acquisitions and spin offs.
Working with the wider R&D department to promote and contribute to our Open Innovation processes; you will also be developing key relationships with Group Commercial and General Council to maximise opportunities with our supply chain.
* You will be experienced in maximising value from Research and development, including licensing, negotiating royalties, developing spin outs and even recommending buy outs.
* We are looking for a forward looking and proactive individual who can seek opportunities to contribute to the development of the team's performance. And you will have the ability to make educated judgements and decisions in the face of ambiguity and to be innovative and challenging in the development of solutions.
* Finally, you will be Qualified to degree level (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline. Full UK Driving Licence is required.
