Senior Engineer. Our Client is a global organisation within the Off-Highway vehicle sector. They are now seeking to expand their product development team. They are ideally looking for candidates with previous experience of working at Senior or Lead Engineering levels within the off-highway vehicle sector.|
Responsible to the Principal Engineer / Design Manager for the daily co-ordination of the following activities:
Design of his / her project to ensure that customer (internal or external) requirements are met through agreed briefs (performance, cost and timescales).
Concept design work and machine layouts.
Conformance to the Marketing and or Design brief for their project.
Daily / medium term design and draughting priorities and work allocation.
Technical liaison with other departments and ability to confidently present ideas and proposals.
Control and maintenance of design records.
Product homologation conformance.
Ability to contribute and lead dFMEA activities internally and externally.
Procurement of materials and components for prototype machines.
All aspects of his / her project / work to ensure product introduction is successfully achieved.
Produce project timing plans, drawings, parts lists, technical specifications etc. for the production of prototype and production machines.
Produce product designs with appropriate mechanical calculations and reference to key engineering principles.
Assumes responsibility for all design-related issues in the absence of the Principal Engineer / Design Manager.
Acts as a mentor to develop new Design staff. Achieved or working towards Chartered Status.
