A superb career development role for a talented Design Engineer with a leading player in civil and structural engineering solutions.|
c.£30,000 plus benefits and relocation
The client believes their success as a civil and structural engineering and project management consultancy stems from their core values of quality, integrity, and experience. In business since 1992, they've built a reputation for high-quality engineering solutions, leading successful design teams and completing projects on time and to budget. They also offer a level of personal service their larger competitors simply can't provide.
As Design Engineer reporting to the Director, you will join a skilled team working on a wide range of projects in a dynamic, vibrant office. Their current portfolio includes steel and reinforced concrete building and highway design, in addition to drainage and rail/airports. So there is plenty to get your teeth into!
A graduate civil or structural engineer, ideally with a Master's, you've already begun to develop a strong structural engineering track record and are progressing towards Chartered Engineer status with necessary qualifications for MICE/MIStructE. Familiar with BS and Eurocode, you have first-class analysis and modelling software abilities including BIM and 3D. Experienced in the use and engineering of steel and reinforced concrete building design and ideally with some airport, highway and/or transport infrastructure knowledge, you're a first-class communicator and proactive team player who can confidently articulate viewpoints and design whilst taking on board and incorporating others' opinions. Timber experience would be beneficial too. In addition to excellent client-facing skills, you can also offer:
• the confidence to contribute to design teams
• good IT-literacy, including MS Office suite including MS Project
• proficiency in the use of CAD and preferably 3-D and BIM software
• a full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
Benefits of the Design Engineer role include a contributory pension scheme (max employer contribution 5%), long term illness cover, life cover and a relocation package to the Isle of Man.
