ur client is a multi-discipline consultancy operating across a wide spectrum of sectors, delivering successful property and construction solutions across the UK and around the world.|
Their Civil Engineering team has particular expertise in highways design for roads, pavements, bridges, Section 278 Agreements and in earthworks engineering, cut and fill assessments, remediation, underground services, flood alleviation, sustainable drainage systems, pumping stations, sewerage and external works.
They are now looking for a Civil Engineer to join their offices in the South East..
As an experienced Civil Engineer you will be responsible for producing highways and drainage designs relating to medium to large development infrastructure projects.
oSupervise CAD Technicians
oRepresent the company at external meetings with clients and fellow professionals
oBe responsible for delivering work to a fee agreed with a Project Manager
oProject profitability (monitoring / planning of costs and budgets)
oPrepare client / project proposals
oAssist in negotiating fee proposals and requesting additional fees
oConstruct project teams from internal and external resources.
oProcure project resources
oAgree design philosophy / design fundamentals
oHave knowledge of concept design, buildability, detailed design, construction techniques, procurement routes, risk assessment
oHave detailed knowledge of analytical concepts
Chartered or working towards being a Chartered Engineer.
You will have a good understanding of section 38, 278 and 104 agreements and have a strong residential development design background.
As a competent user of WinDes MicroDrainage you will be able to work with minimal supervision and indeed supervise less experienced staff.
