Reporting to the Supervisor, Materials & Operations analysis, as the Master Material Planner you will provide material logistics development, master production scheduling, alignment within capacity availability, integrating configuration activities, supporting change management activities and inventory accuracy for landing gear components in support of an assigned Value Stream. You will also be responsible for developing Impact and cost analysis related to the above disciplines in support of on-time delivery and inventory reduction.

Primary Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain the Master Production Schedule with alignment to long term capacity strategy comparing manpower and equipment capability in support of value stream demand requirements.
Communicate MPS status, updates and impacts for authorization or execution as activity warrants.
Interface and manage expedite requests from customer demand group advising whether such request can be achieved for sales opportunity.
Monitoring and managing schedule execution through creation and validation of a material delivery plan and requirements using a Plan for every Part theory.
Perform material optimization activities through audits, updating and monitoring KPI's, such as takt, performance, process controls, shortage reduction and turn backs impacting line back logistics.
Ownership, control and maintenance of planning parameters for make and buy parts in the Item Master system.
Implement and obtain approvals for changes to material plans and logistics eliminating cost or schedule risks.
Perform change management through evaluation & execution of ERR's, work scope changes, supporting MBOM and MPL planning for inventory control and on time delivery.
Monitoring value stream supermarket development and material issuing operations for optimal effectiveness.
Balancing cost/schedule constraints within the Value Stream related to achieving customer satisfaction through communication of execution deviations with operations, supply chain, engineering and program management.
Supporting warranty activities and overseeing inter-company activities.
Control and disposal of Excess and Obsolete Inventory by coordinating a Value Stream analysis and plan directly with the Inventory Lead / Asset Manager.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:


University degree/college diploma in Materials Management or Business Administration an asset
3-5 years experience in a material planning/master scheduling and inventory control in a manufacturing environment required.
Demonstrated proficiency in MS office applications
Previous ERP experience necessary (SAP preferred)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated leadership and organization skills with a team orientation
APICS CPIM Certificate would be an asset.
Successful candidate must meet all requirements under ITAR and CCGP
UTAS Core Foundation Competencies including Ethics, Integrity, Values and Trust
