If you are interested in making an impact, then General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS) is the place for you. GDMS has an opening for an Entry-level Systems Engineer to join a team of engineers that design and manufacture a range of high-assurance, ruggedized computer systems, including mission computers, platform computing, special-purpose supercomputers and signal processing systems.
Entry-level Systems Engineers analyze, design, develop and test General Dynamics Mission Systems systems to ensure the integration of software, hardware, reliability, maintainability, safety and other requirements in the total engineering effort.
These individuals may also be asked to document security on both new and fielded information systems or provide accreditation/certification evaluation and test support to ensure all technical security features are considered and functioning properly.
Candidates must demonstrate passion for innovation, a sophisticated understanding of various engineering systems and the ability to further advance General Dynamics Mission Systems technology.
The Entry-level Systems Engineer position requires a bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent and at least zero to two years of related experience. Applicants with a masters degree are also eligible.
Candidates must be familiar with both hardware development and software development.
Candidates must have good written, verbal and presentation communication skills and the ability to produce effective, clear and concise technical documentation.
Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
