General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a Master Scheduler to join our team. The position provides an opportunity to coordinate the production of key materials that support some of our nation's fundamental defense services. General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed clients to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions. The selected candidate will work with collaborative teams to coordinate and schedule the production of materials for General Dynamics Mission Systems. Key Responsibilities
To support the production and delivery requirements for programs, plan, schedule and coordinate materials including raw resources, purchase parts, in-process and contract end item materials. These employees also develop detailed schedules, material requirement plans, production plans and capacity plans. In addition, these Advanced Specialists track the status of material inventories and shortages.

Additional Responsibilities
  • Exercise creative thinking and ideation to advance our business performance
  • Deliver innovative, flexible, integrated solutions to meet customers changing business needs
  • Support and engage in programs, projects and practices behind the General Dynamics Mission Systems culture and strategy, and comply with all policies and procedures
  • Follow industry and department trends and developments to ensure General Dynamics Mission Systems services are consistent with, and/or superior to, industry best practices
  • Master schedule management (supports the current contract authorization)
  • Scheduling output lines in a linear fashion to achieve the desired task
  • Program review focal point (includes procurement dept. reviews)
  • Contract Delay notification (lotus notes database to communicate with our DCM customers)
  • Program point of contact
  • Process Planning support
  • Lead time analysis
  • Capacity analysis consistent with factory resources
  • Engineering Change Notice (ECN) Review
  • Order Acceptance concurrence
  • Shipping paperwork

Basic Qualifications:

Candidates should demonstrate sophisticated problem solving skills, strong organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively. Candidate should be self-motivated, operate from a data driven perspective, and have the ability to readily interface with a diverse workforce across multiple management levels and organizational specialties.

A Master Scheduler must have either a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, related specialty or the equivalent and five to eight years of related experience, or a master's degree in a related speciality or the equivalent and three to five years of related experience.

Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
