Job Summary
AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Senior Aviation Project Manager for immediate employment. Candidate will be responsible for the overall management of one or more airfield projects, in accordance with the written project/construction documents and established policies and procedures. Plans and directs all technical functions related to the project(s), and oversees the project team responsible for planning, design, procurement, construction, commissioning and closeout.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
  • Administer one or more projects, to include responsibility for budget, schedule and quality adherence and performance, in accordance with the contract documents and established procedures
  • Oversee all design & construction support activities for each assigned project
  • Manage, coordinate, and supervise the project team, which may consist of one or more Design Managers, Construction Managers, Resident Engineer(s) and Office Engineer(s), and other support staff as necessary
  • Ensure the coordination of all project activities with airport tenants, airlines, DFW departments, governmental and other agencies
  • Prepare and submit to senior management and/or DFW-DCC monthly report(s) detailing the progress, accomplishments, issues and current status of the project
  • Provide documentation as required by DFW for the administration and execution of each project
  • Review and concur in the proposed settlement of change orders, claims, and revisions to the design and/or construction scope, schedule and budget
  • Assist DFW-DCC as requested in the development of RFQs and RFPs, and provide support as requested during the procurement process
  • Evaluate and provide recommendations to DFW-DCC for changes and/or modifications to the design consultant and construction contractor scope of services
  • Lead (or approve the negotiation of design & construction phase services, consultant fees, provide documentation, and recommend acceptance by DFW-DCC

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Project or Construction Management
  • 15 years of experience in managing aviation projects of similar size, type and complexity
  • Knowledge of and experience in writing a Safety Plan, a QA/QC Plan, a Document Control Plan, and a Project Procedures Manual
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to obtain a SIDA-cleared badge at DFW
  • Must possess a valid Class C driver's license, and be able to obtain certification to drive in DFW's AOA movement area
  • Due to the nature of this work, U.S. citizenship is required
